My Actifit Report Card: September 6 2018

Good day Steem fam! Today I have upped my fitness- in large part due to this dApp! 😍 I went on a run! I also walked to and fro around the homestead, but the large part of this day’s points is due to my run, which Ini went on with me (trying to get him to open an account called @andNow -the Hear and now 🧐). We spotted a laden pear tree, collected some wildflower seeds and talked with a neighbor (and found and ate a paw paw) while on the run! It started to rain and I felt like I was in the high altitudes of New Mexico... just reminded me of that.

I took a Before pic of my bod- I’m looking forward to continuing to incentivize my activity levels through @actifit. My goal is to get my 6 pack back and run more often.

I stayed up til 3 am reading (& finishing) Amy Wombach’s “Forward”, a book about her journey as a pro women’s soccer player (and about her life and retirement). Most of you don’t know, but I played soccer from age 8 into college when I got a nasty knee injury (tore my Left ACL). My IT band and patella tendon still smirk a little on runs.

I want to run more often so that I get over that pain, more shape and can feel the blessing that is my body moving. Abby’s book was quite inspiring to me and made me feel I wasn’t so alone. Life after being identified by Soccer was interesting for me- and for her too- we have to re-shape our identities.

I’m using The Hear to share my journey into fitness at 31 (32 in 7 days!) and how I am returning again to my specialized fitness goals.
