Someone once told me, to get what you want you have to be motivated. Yes, that's true but to really get it we have to act. Just being motivated won't really get you what you want but putting your motivation into action will surely get you what you want.
There are lots and lots of quotes(motivational) and other things that inspires and motivates us and makes us want to act but most times we don't. Why? Why don't we do react to what gets us motivated maybe because we are waiting for someone to push us to act? NO! It doesn't work that way. Or maybe we don't really get the concept of motivation. ''Motivation means a willingness to act''. So if we get motivated, that is having the willingness to act, what prevents us from following it up, by turning our willingness to act into action, real quick action?
Let me tell us the story of a motivational speaker that talked on the need for us to act when we really want something. He talked about, and showed the difference between just getting motivated and putting our motivation into action.

The speaker told the audience that they really need to start putting their thoughts into action, any idea we have we put it into work. He said that to really get from where we are to where we want that we should start moving ourselves into action.
To illustrate this, he brought out a 500 dollar bill from his pocket and showed it to the audience, He asked his audience ''who amongst everyone present here today doesn't want this 500 dollar bill''? Obviously everyone wanted the 500 dollar bill. After all, which one of us doesn't want a 500 dollar bill? The audience still waiting for what he would do next, but the speaker still held the dollar bill high enough for everyone to see with his eyes fixed at his audience.

To the much surprise of the rest of the audience, a woman in a hurry, climbed up to the stage grabbed the 500 dollar bill and hurried back to take her seat. Many were surprised, others just laughed and still others complaining to their seat partners about what the woman did.
''There is nothing wrong with what she did,'' the speaker said. Actually, what she did is just what most of us lack; that willful spirit to act to get what we want. He continued, that woman wanted the 500 dollar bill just as everyone else in this room but she went the extra mile, mustered some courage, had the idea and acted quick enough. What do we get from the story?
First of all, we should know that nothing good comes easy just as being motivated without action doesn't count.
Secondly all we should remember is that we need to be very fast in putting our ideas into action, because another person might also have the idea but the person who acts first gets it all.
So, next time that nice idea comes to us, next time we know we really know that we really need something, let us not sit back and wait but rather act fast towards our motivation and surely we will get what we want.
Being proactive and not to be passive is very good and necessary to achieve our goals
Yeah but most people still choose to remain passive without them even realizing it. Thanks
Wow! Am inspired by this post, I've been motivated enough, it's time to swing into action and make things happen. Am making history.
Knowing that my post inspired you makes me happy. Thanks

Yes, always . Thanks
Refreshing! Great work
Thanks
This is the problem of most of us, we prefer to be excited with the truth but does not want to take the risk of acting. From your story I visualize men and women wondering
This kind of inner thought has being our barriers to why we don't take action ,they set us in a comfort zone where you are limited in life. And the only way out of it is experience the fear and take action anyway
I love your visualization. I should have added that line to my post. Thanks a lot.
@originalworks
Big ideas without action is useless. The ideas won't bring itself to reality. It needs to be acted upon.
Nice post.
Thanks
