So after last night, I felt quite uncomfortable due to the whole praying incident. But now having a look back and taking a more objective view on how the rehearsal went. I went into the rehearsal really nervous because I had my lines down, but I was making a few mistakes along the way. However as it turns out I feel I was one of the most prepared people in the room.
The first big queue was when we were all sharing our background stories, some looked like they scribbled it down on a piece of paper just minutes prior to showing up. Others had eloquent ones done up, I had prepared mine on my laptop you guys saw it a few days ago, I even added a bit of history on where Marcus grew up his family relations and why he is who he is today. One guy was winging it on the spot, not having shown up prepared at all.
The second queue was when we were running through the first scene, and I was the only one who didn't need a script, it was mildly awkward. I am here for the theater and I think a lot of the others are there to be part of the experience. Now that sounds like I am not here for the immersion of a new family but I for one thinks that the work comes first the fun, is just going to happen. Sometimes your expectations do not meet the reality of the situation and in other cases it is much better. This was one of those times where I came into it with a lot higher expectations, considering we had a list of things to do prior to our first rehearsal. I was super worried being that I was the procrastinator I guess my worries were ill informed. Here is hoping next weeks rehearsal is super duper!
Amen brother!

Customer's expectation - "Paint me a portrait that rivals any of Rembrandt van Rijn's work and have it done in an hour."
Artist's realistic response - "You're getting a stick man."
