I've been off social media for a while trying to make sense of things. Came across steemit and think this is a new way to start over. I have so much to be thankful for, I’m blessed. I know it sounds cliche, but I really am. I tried to keep quiet, but I guess I can speak about it now. I went the furthest I’ve ever gone in my career and it’s so easy to be negative just because in the end it was another rejection. But it wasn’t. I made it to the top. I was up for as Recurring Guest Star (a role that is a central part of the story for usually a season, if not more) I was up for studio/network approval, where the people in suits watch your audition and approve or reject you for some unknown reason. I was on hold for about 3 weeks. I thought I was finally going to be a ‘full-time’ actor, making my living solely from income through acting. The roller coaster of emotions during this has been crazy. As much as I wanted it or tried to make myself believe something ‘greater is in store’ I had to simply accept that this was not mine. Thank you for those who listened to me during this painfully beautiful journey which was a huge learning lesson that was very much needed.
I went from waking up early, gym everyday, eating healthy, meditation, 40 hour work days, multiple classes and being kind to myself to the complete opposite. I was depressed. Everything suffered. Holidays with family and friends can’t come soon enough. But I realize now this was a HUGE milestone. I am one step closer to achieving my dreams. I’m in this till the end baby! And nothing is going to stop me. Not now, not ever.
