AND IT WORKED!

during my time healing at a Boston hospital, close to my loved ones, I learned a lot about the stigma of mental health disorders.

Up until 1998, if you needed a psychiatrist, you could only see one twice a year or pay $200 a session out of pocket. Even today, mental health services are usually restricted to the "bad side of town." My sober gym is in a part of town that looks like skid row. I get out of yoga and see people shooting up. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, and needs to change. I want to change how we view mental health. I want to change how we view drug addiction. I want to change how we treat each other. because the light in me values and honors the light in everyone.
