Hello everyone, @oghie here.
'You're fit for the job. But....'
That's it, that's the common rejection line used by many against others. From time to time, we might have heard sad stories from others, either how they were fired from their work place, rejected a contract proposal or any cumbersome issue. Each time we hear that particular line "But", well we just know the result is really going to dishearten our spirit.
In the world today, there are numerous events that creates room for disappointment: probably you asked a girl/guy out, submitted your C.V in order to get a job, asked a friend or family member for some funds or just anything that request a yes or no as an answer.
Nevertheless, a simple reply like 'NO' could mean hell to us, we are then pushed to our thinking faculty asking ourselves where or what did i do wrong, am i not smart enough, don't i deserve this job we questioning our abilities resulting to excruciating pains and frustration.
Among all the sad things life has, rejection is the overall. Being rejected is disastrous and awful, all the same it could be to our own advantage in the long run. Having this plan B at the back of our mind gives us a crystal clear reason on how to handle it.
The reason why we feel unhappy each time were rejected is simply because we don't truly know what rejection is;
According to Vocabulary definition of rejection it says;
The noun rejection can refer to the actual act of rejecting something or to the feeling one has after being rejected. In other words, you might have feelings of rejection after experiencing the rejection of others. Source
Permit me to say this, but at times we feel sad about being rejected when we don't really know the definition of rejection. How did you react when you were rejected sometime ago?
Well i can honestly vouch for some people that sadness and depressed immediately overwhelmed them when they are rejected. Majority of folks inclines to take it individually they they aren't smart, good or perfect enough for the cause. Our self-esteem becomes deemed when self-doubt emanates.
Well at the end of the day, we'll discover that this isn't a helping tool to help us stand on our feet. And also proving to us that we lack the knowledge to fathom what rejection is all about.
Understanding what rejection truly means;
Rejection, in a nut shell might be helpful to us in the sense that it helps us realize what is suited for us. This simply connotes that, when ever were rejected, it's either were not fit for the job or we deserve a higher position in the long run. This clearly means that you shouldn't only linger on plan A only, you should have numerous alternatives in case plan A fails.
All the same, if he/she still decipher to stick to his heart and keep trying until it turns good result still perfect. But being time conscious would be advised to be practiced, you literally can't spend all your youthful age chasing a blind vision, and then expect someone to pay your bills when you've come of age. And also you should learn from experience, if the reason why you didn't get that job was as a result of your bushy hair, then do well to cut your hair to their standard. Trying as much as you can to make vital adjustments via feedback might help in the long run.
In conclusion, rejection or being rejected doesn't mean you're not smart or perfect enough. But if we can see the other side of the coin, that rejection helps us in locating what truly fits us, and am one day you'll discover what you're good at and you'll be definitely accepted.
