Greetings everyone, I write this on a Sunday morning and I'm kinda blown away, over 1000 votes on my first post so thank you so much. I really wasn't expecting anything, being a Steemit newbie, if I'm honest I don't even know what Steemit, Blockchain or any of this Crypto stuff really is, so I guess I'm just saying thank you for taking the time to read it.
I'm going to follow on now in My Life as a Camgirl musings and I may even make it into a journey that you can follow with me. Again, as stated in the first post, this isn't a cheap plug for my website or free ad board, it's just sometimes it's good to have a sounding board to let off steem (excuse the pun).

I had a comment on my last post about making money on the camming sites. Don't get me wrong, you can make money on them, but please ignore the flash statements that some models make upwards of 20k a month. I'm yet to see anyone making that sort of money on the "free" sites. The site itself makes just as much as the models make as the token cost received by a model is around 50% of what a viewer pays. 100 tokens costs around $10 and model gets $5 of that. So in the end the camsite doesn't care too much about you as a Model, you'll leave and one will join.
Free sites are basically the gutter of the porn industry. I'm not trying to offend anyone on there as there are some wonderful models and amazing viewers. Deep down though, it's a massive free for all of who can do the most degrading shit for as long as possible whilst still saying oohhh aahhhhh in a remotely convincing manner.
Where have all the ladies gone? Where is the class, where is the etiquette? If you want to start in the industry and I sadly admit that the only real way in now is through these awful sites, then don't sell your soul to it. Don't try and be something you are not and don't do anything you don't want to do. You are in charge of your shows not the viewers.
Camsites will do Zero marketing for your room and I can kind of understand that at first for a single model, only for them to leave a month later. The problem I have though is that after a lot of months and 1000's of hours on the site, the powers that be still ignore the real models out there when it comes to promotion. I get it, I'm not 20 with fake tits, a tight ass and a pussy you'd struggle to fit a wiener in, I'm not the poster model for these sites. They have their favourites who, no matter what they do will always be high up on page 1. Being on the front page gives 100% exposure to every single visitor to the site instantly. If you are there, then it really doesn't matter what you do. You could sit in a gorilla outfit and still get 10000 in your room. I'm not saying you'll get tipped as what I said in my first post, more viewers means nothing if they are not even registered. And you'll get the most Anons on the first page, just after a quick wank. I just got a little fed up though with the way the sites rate their models for page listings. I've seen models who totally disappear for months yet first show back are on P1. What does that say about the models who have literally been ramming god knows what into themselves for the last 3 months only to get bumped out of the spotlight as some 19 year old, photo shopped goddess can come straight back in and take their place?
Camming should be more than just a tight ass, camming is an art form in itself. Give the right amount of teasing to make the viewer want more each time. Make your personality shine through. These ugly and quite ridiculous tip activated toys have destroyed the camming world. No they're not guys, sorry to burst you imagination, but they hardly give a slight tickle. I used them initially, I burnt my way through 3 of the damn things as the build quality sucks. In the end I was getting really harsh stomach cramps after a show. It cannot be good for you having a WiFi connected vibrating egg shoved up you for hours on end. I have my doubts over WiFi safety anyway, so I know longer use WiFi or those horrible toys when I'm live.
If you are a model who uses these toys successfully, take it out for a week and you will notice a massive drop in not only tips but also your viewers. You will also have to be more creative with your shows, you can't just sit there anymore expecting it, you gotta work it girl. We all know that porn is fake, that really isn't his teacher who is sucking him off but that is a fake taxi driver :) My dad's housekeeper was 70 years old and my babysitter was about 40, so we all know that it's fake. Camming should be more intimate with the viewers more real. Who the heck wants 1000's watching when only 2 are tipping? You're giving yourself away for nothing. In reality though, people don't want to pay for porn. It's accessed at the click of a button by anyone, anywhere anytime and it's free.
I used to lose viewers but also gain loyal regulars because I can honestly say that as soon as Lovense went out the 3rd floor window and landed in some lucky guys hands, I have not faked or needed or indeed wanted to fake anything since.
