Helllo, steemit. As i said in previous post, my life is filming!
Once i got such a great project- it was order to film Rally Dakar in South America ( Argentina and Chile ).
I was so happy to participate! Because it's like Olympic games but for cars. Rally Dakar is the biggest rally competition in the world. To get in- is very difficult. But to film there - even more difficult- because
accreditation cost a lot of money ( around 30000 euro just to be there) + transportation, insurance, equipment and ect.
This Rally organized by France. Every day we were changing place to stay, every day we passed around 900km by cars. Totally Rally Dakar is around 10000km.
Difficult part was with work. Because you need to film whole day in the very hot sun (+39-+47), and after you go by car to general Camp, where are everybody( all cars, pilots, media and ect.) And after, when you arrive, you need to edit all this material what you got during the day from all cameras of our team. So,basically, in total you sleep per day 2-3 hours and new day is starting again.
Every year at least one person dies there.(very often it's motobikers). Because it's very difficult sport. And so long distance. Sometimes help can not come fast even by helicopter, because they even don't know where to go....
Local people were so friendly. They were taking picture of everybody all the time. We even made a bet with my colleges, who will get more fans for photos. And guess who won?! ))
General Camp was transporting by planes of organizers every day. And normally it was situated at airports near area of rally.
It looks like this
So, how you can see, there is no buildings and no hotels. Many people were sleeping in tents. But our team was lucky. We got a Motorhome!)
Here is it
I love this adventure! Was difficult , but i would love to do it again and again!
We passed Pacific Ocean, but was no time to swim(((
So many sea stars)
Rally is a very expensive sport. For example this car cost around 450000 Euros.
We filmed the driest non-polar desert in the world - Atacama!
Mother Nature in South America is amazing!
Sand Storm
Photographers are hiding in the shade
The last day! Awards ceremony in Valparaiso( Chile)
I am looking forward to participate again in such amazing event and share more photos with Steemit)

Looks like a great adventure
Thank you :)!
hey there! Wow that was a hell of a trip for you! You made astonishing pics about the rally dakar. I follow the race since 2015, and I am very interested in it. The heat, the mud and the desert make the dakar to the most physical motorsport event I have ever got intouch with.
Thank you! I love this adventure!
