Historical Places - Cebu

in #adventure7 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone! This blog is all about Cebu, Philippines.

When you hear the word Philippines, which city do you think of first? Manila? Cebu? Yes, that's what people usually think of.
If you plan on visiting the Philippines, here are some of the historical places to visit in Cebu.

We were having a plant tour when I took these photos. Although, some of it I searched in google because I wanted to show you the full view of the places. I will post the links of the sites of where I took them below the photos.

This is the Carmen Copper Corporation. It is an open site mining. It is not a historical place but I would like to share it anyway.

Here is one of my photos...

This is my favorite place that we've visited in Cebu. The Temple of Leah. It is hard to go there because it's on top of the mountain. The pressure gets too high up there that when you go back down, your ear would feel like it's blocked but it is worth the visit anyway.

After that, we went to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú(https://philnews.ph/2017/04/11/ellen-adarna-grandpa-constructs-temple-leah-philippines-taj-mahal-version/)

This is still part of the Basilica church.People come here to pray.

This is the Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod. There are a lot of chapels and churches in Philippines because most people here are Christians. Philippines before was colonized by Spaniards and therefore adopted the religion.

Here is a top view of the chapel.

This one is the Magellan's Cross.
Magellan is the first person to circumnavigate the world.

Aside from that, we also went to SM Seaside. It's the 3rd biggest mall in the Philippines.

We also stayed in Welcome Hotel because it gives you a good view of the city and they have a pool. It is also cheaper.

And of course, what is travel without good food? We went to Vikings Buffet. You only pay for about 1000 pesos pesos and you get unlimited food.
