I have some fantastic news to give you: I'm going on a world tour ! It's true. A WORLD TOUR ! And I'm writing to you now from the old cowboy town of Deadwood in the Black Hills of South Dakota in the middle of the USA.
I want to tell you the story of my adventure. And I want to tell you it like a newspaper, with headlines. (More dramatic, I think.) So here's the first headline:
OUAQQA ENTERS YAC
My big adventure started last December when I contributed a picture to a international art competition called the Young Artists' Competition - or YAC, they call it. You know that I like to draw pictures. Well, this picture was of the Imilchil Festival in the Atlas Mountains, with a lot of beautiful girls in colourful dresses with enormous traditional ornaments. I posted it to the competition organisers, but then I didn't think about it any more, because I didn't think my picture was very good.
