ENCHANTED KINGDOM: The Home of the World-Class Rides and Attractions | The Land of the Brave

in #adventure7 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians!

It has been ages since the last time I posted. I hope everything is well with you guys! I have been hyped-up and excited on the things that had happened in the past few weeks. I was invited by different events and occasions that made me feel so honored to be part of the important celebrations in other people's lives. I am hoping that I can share everything with you guys but for now, I am going to give you a quick tour on my visit in the most fun, fascinating and enthralling place on Earth - Enchanted Kingdom!

Last week, me and my newly-found family had decided to visit the most enchanting place that someone can visit in Luzon Island. I have been a scaredy-cat when it comes to riding extreme rides and attractions in any amusement park. When my friends start to talk about "amusement parks" I never failed to say "NO" to them. I mean, for me rides have never been something that a person should get excited about. An extreme ride has never synced in my system, it has never been fun at all and it has never been a good way to enjoy.

Most of the rides that I am going to feature are for free which means, they are included in the admission fee prior entering EK.

Eldar the Wizard

But last week, everything that I used to believe in has changed. I never thought that peer pressure can be a good tool to conquer my fears. Until now, when I try to remember how brave I became when riding the monster roller coaster I just become speechless and usually find myself smiling on blank air.

The Wheel of Fate

Of course, everybody started from here. I rode this the first time I went to EK 3 years ago. I think this is the easiest ride that one can get from any amusement park. It's funny because every ride that I've seen there had a corresponding height requirement. I wanna be offended by that but I knew they were not trying to mock me. I am pretty convinced with that. Now I wanna laugh. In case you wanna know, in this ride, the height requirement is 122 cm (48 inches). I'm small but I am pretty sure I am above the requirement. There are 6 maximum guests allowed per gandola. If you have a weak heart, or weak back and neck, please just drink coffee in the cafeteria.

The Flying Fiesta

I once hated this ride before. The first time I saw this was on Facebook taken by a Chinese citizen. The people seemed to be dreadful when you look at them but this one is smooth and fun. It felt like you're flying as it rotates and shifts gradually like a wave motion and drops and tilts. This has a single seat and a tandem seat. So if you have a child with you, there's nothing much to worry about. Of course the minimum height requirement is 119 cm (47 inches). If you have a high blood pressure, you can be your friend's videographer instead.

The Rialto

This Rialto simulator has been just upgraded into 4D technology. This is really fun for kids and for kids at heart. The seats move, water splashes, smoke spreads, small particles of a snow-like ashes fly all over the place. This is the first time I tried this. We endured the super long line inside the theater and it took us about 30 minutes to wait for our turn to go in. The moment you enter, there will be picture taking inside which you have to pay 250 pesos to get the print out. It's not a compulsory though but it's always good to take a souvenir picture with you.

The Newly-wed in glasses.

Now this is the catch. You have to wait in line like this. You always wanna wear something comfortable like pants when you get to EK. Almost all lines in almost all the rides or attractions look like this or maybe worst. Sitting on the floor is really a big help for everyone but in some areas, there's no way to sit on the floor.

The 7D Interactive Motion
Regular rate: 100 php

This is the first of its kind in the Philippines. We were all excited to defeat the wolves on the screen and be on the top 5 of the score board. There were about 16 seats in the theater and we occupied all the 8 seats on the first row. The goal is to defeat all the wolves that attack the town using the 7D interactive light gun. All the seats move forwards, backwards, and sidewards, depends on the motion of the screen. It's a gaming action that incredibly brings you to another world of fun and thrill.

The Ghostbusters Adventure Live
Regular rate: 100 php

If there's something strange in you neighborhood. Who you gonna call?

I knew that this was going to be funny and not at all scary before we entered the room but because of the "ghosts" and the sound effects inside, everything felt so real! This one is designed to give you a startling spooky adventure to see if you have what it takes to be a ghostbuster. You have to walk-through the aisles of the house of the ghosts. All you can see is mostly green and red light which made everything looked scary. There were Chinese ghosts, American ghosts but Filipino ghosts looked seriously funny. Laughing and crying combined.

Here are some safety guidelines for you.

2018-03-01 11.43.30 1.jpg

The Air Race

This has six acrobatics planes that can fly four passengers each. It simulates acrobatic exhibition flights, loops, dives that mimics weightlessness as each place rotates 180 degrees to 360 degrees around the central tower. Can you imagine how your world rotates for a minute or two? This is the first and only air race in the Philippines. Guests with prosthesis are not allowed to take this ride. I didn't do this ride though because the weather was scorching hot and we had to fall in line for like 20-30 minutes.

The Anchor's Away

3 years ago, I did this and cried like a baby. LOL! When you look at it from afar with its people screaming on top of their lungs and shouting, it's pretty convincing that this ride is the most easy and the most fun. But when you are in this pirate ship, sailing over imaginary waves in pendulum motion, you would want to just pass out until it stops. It swings back and forth until it reaches a maximum angle of 70 degrees. This is one of a crazy ride.

The disk-o-magic

I always want to try this one but I am always defeated by my fears. 3 years ago, I attempted to fall in line but I backed out when it was almost my turn. I just couldn't imagine myself spinning and rocking on that breathtaking ride. This can accommodate 24 persons. I am really hoping I'll finally have the courage to try this one. The is the noisiest ride because people are screaming unstoppable.

The Rio Grande Rapids

This one is my favorite. This is such an exhilarating ride perfect for a family. It rushed over rough waters with a rubber shaft. There are 8 people that can accommodate 1 shaft. This is the most exciting and definitely the most fun ride ever. You'll see your peers' facial expressions whenever the water splashes on their faces. Everyone didn't want to get wet but we didn't have a choice. You'll all get wet at the end of it. You might want to bring an extra shirt and a pair of slippers when you go there.

The good thing is they have a dry machine outside that you can dry up about 50% but of course you have to pay 150 pesos for 5 minutes.

The EKstreme Tower

If you are down-hearted, miserable and in despair, this one is perfect for you. It'll take you a minute to get to the top almost 40 meters high and suddenly drops you at 76 kph. This will surely gives you a chance to scream all your emotions and let it all out in just a few seconds. I never had the nerve to try this ride but I encourage you guys to try this one and tell me how did it go. This will give you a full view of the 25 hectares land of the Enchanted Kingdom and surely will give you a relief from all frustrations in life.

As I mentioned early on, I never liked any extreme rides before because I had acrophobia. I thought there is no way for me to overcome any of that but I finally did it! This is the most terrifying ride I have seen in my entire life. This roller coaster ride turns you upside-down for 6 times - 3 times forward and 3 times backwards all in 2 minutes (no, I didn't count it, I researched it). You would literally die if one bolt and a nut would glitch in a second.

I was so upset that my boyfriend forced me to ride with him because just by looking at the seats made me think of my family and my dreams back in Cebu all fall apart when I die. I wanted to call my mom or send a text message to my sister and my brothers to tell them that I love them before passing away. I was just silent the whole time falling in line over-thinking of the things that might happen to me on top.

Our turn to be seated came. I tucked in my seatbelt and I was ready to die! (no, I'll never be ready) I screamed before the engine starts and then we started out backwards. Oh god! Why backwards? I never understand why they love to scare people riding these kinds of rides.

I didn't open my eyes not even once because I didn't want to pass out or get a heart attack. Everything was in slow motion in my mind. I thought about the happy times I had with all my loved ones. I thought about eating ice cream in DQ, the ice skating we had the day before, the Japanese food we had for lunch and all the happy thoughts in the world that I could possible think of. I didn't think that I was in that freakin' roller coaster. And then everything stopped! I DID IT! I am still alive and currently writing all these crazy experiences I had at EK.

I hope you all had fun reading this!

Until next time,

@honeyletsgo

Seems like a pretty cool spot to visit with family or friends! I love this kind of places so much, especially the pirate ship and the haunted house. We are getting one of the scariest Haunted houses of the world in the Netherlands! I am so excited for that!

I think you would definitely love the pirate ship. just be sure all food are being digest already. hahah.
