Aokigahara is a forest known for being one of the places where more suicides have been committed, is located in Japan on Mount Fuji, has an extension of 35km2 is a very special place for traditional culture, the Fuji is considered a door to the heavens and is a sacred place.
The forest of suicides is a kind of purgatory of souls in pain known as yokais or yurei is a leafy terrain where the vegetation grows on a lava floor expelled by the Fuji when you enter the only eavesdropping silence and at other times tourists heard shouts from people who were committing suicide, the wind does not run through the forest of suicides, you do not see the animals, you only find belongings of those that some Day they decided to take their lives among the trees.
Another element that is linked in the trees are the ropes of people who in the forest use them to know the way back if they decide back, the compasses do not work since it is above a magnetic field in the 19th century, one of the largest famines in the country and children and grandparents were left in this place because they could not give food for this reason it is believed that the souls that are there they prowl the forest. In 1988 there were 30 suicides in the forest, in 2003 the number has risen to 100 for some years the Japanese government dont wanted reveal data. More than 500 corpses have been found, most of them
accompanied by a manual called the "complete manual of suicide".
