Hello everyone! Today I will show you my little adventure to the fantastic and mysterious Village of Sintra, it is a Village near to Lisbon the country’s capital. This is one of the most emblematic and historical village of the country. Many fall in love with it, because of its climate, landscapes, its houses and mainly all the mystery that exists in it.
Due the short time I had, this was a short ride, so I didn't had time to visit inside the museums and palaces. But I leave the promise here, that in a future post I will show you the wonders of those places in detail.
The Regaleira’s palace and the surrounding garden were built at the beginning of the 20th century, its enormous garden is full of mystery to be explored, such as underground tunnels and wells that at the time served as an infrastructure for Masonic, Templar and other rituals. It also has in its center the Regaleira’s palace (shown in the photograph). This space reveals varied traces of Gothic, Romanesque, Manueline and Renaissance architecture.
This is a detail in the garden, a simple but magnificent antique lamp.
Another tower with wonderful sculptures inside the garden itself.
Here you can see the fantastic and enigmatic tunnels that according to some historians, were part of initiation rituals to Masonry, all have a different symbolic meaning.
Now leaving the context of the palace, I met a very nice friend who made me lose some time just to play with it. XD
A monument that can be seen from almost the entire town of Sintra is the Pena’S Palace. This palace dates back to the 19th century, but the bases of its construction are much older, since before this, existed in the same place a chapel built in the 15THcentury, which was later transformed into a monastery in the 16th century. This will be a topic to be addressed in one publication, since there is much to tell about that.
Finally at night, but still with things to do, I went to the National Palace of Sintra, (yes one more palace!) A building where even lived the kings of Portugal, unfortunately I didn’t had time to see inside nor much of its outside due to construction works.
And this my friends was my little stroll through the wonderful village of Sintra on an autumn day.
I hope you have enjoyed it and may have awaken your interest in this magical place.

This place is very beautiful and many historians. I think it is a beautiful place of civilization. Horse should be in such a Muslim's place. Because many things are known about this, the mind becomes better.
Very good post from the place I live, Sintra
The commercial tourist invasion is slowly killing the magic of Sintra.
I leave here the Moro Castle
Hey @charlie777pt thank you for your reply and nice photograph! And thank you for poiting out the very importante Moro Castel (I forgot to mention it and I am very sorry for that)! I agree with you, I went to Sintra the other day trying to take a few photos for the post and it was impossile in some sites, that is why some interesting spots are missing in this post, because there was so many people that I couldn't take a good picture.
abraço
