A lot of people like to travel, which is amazing! You see all the beautiful things of a country. You enjoy your time, spend a lot of money. You try to make it the best time of your life. But there is a difference between travelling for a short period and living a long time in that same place.
When you decide to live, study or work in a place for away from your hometown, you will be more careful with what you do.
First of all, when you live in a place, you don't have the same time to visit every touristic place that is excisting in that city/country. People think you're always travelling and sightseeing.. But wrong. Not time to do that. You are happy when you can go outside to have a silent day.
Next to this, you have to be careful with your money. You pay your rent where you are staying.. You have to find food every day, day in day out. You need to pay your transport to school/work. You still have your personal needs to buy.. So living as a tourist is impossible..
At least, may be the best thing in living in another country, is that you really really see the real culture in a country. As a tourist you only see what you want to see, which means the beautiful things in that place. But unfortunately the real world is not always so nice as shown to people. Living in another country means meeting new friends.. which means sharing the culture, lifestyle and politics to each others. This talks are helping a lot to understand a culture better in a country. After this you observe the culture more outside. This makes that you see all the beautiful things and understand all the critical things in a country.
Even as a student living in another country, that not always can travel to all the beautiful places, I am really happy to live in another country! You always have advantages and desadvantages when you live in a place and I am so glad that I have this opportunity. If I have the choice between travelling or living in a place, I would still prefer living as choice one!
