This was one of my favorite places growing up, and I’m certain that going to this place is what gave rise to my desire for “urban exploration”.
My friends & I used to head out here around 10 PM with our cameras, and just start messing around - it’s a defunct military base closed in 1992, so there’s airplane hangars, barracks, rocket propulsion test chambers, you name it - we found it.
This photo is from sometime between 2009-2010. We did a 30 second exposure of my friend driving his car in circles with his high-beams on, while I stood still in the middle (standing completely still for 30 seconds is way harder than it sounds lol).
I would absolutely recommend anyone going to this place if you get the chance. We had a lot of fun here over the years.
