I am literally smh...and inwardly lol, convinced that some people have DNA for such grueling treks to photograph and share with the majority who lack this grit, i.e. me!
Your attitude about taking things in stride goes a long way; but, geez, being cold and in failed rain gear...rme...
Hopefully, the camera is insured for replacement; but, when it's all said and done the captures of the lakes and those beautiful rainbows were well worth any inconveniences.
My spiritual side looks forward to the day when we shed these earthly bodies, free to travel in spirit to these beautiful places. Of course, I'm sure in the heavenly realm it will be without the brutal weather conditions ;+).

Unfortunately, the camera is at a loss without insurance and I did continue my trip with tuberculosis for the entire stay in South America! But, those are memories that money can't ever buy :)
