McDonald's vs. Burger King The Never Ending War

in #advertising8 years ago

A few days ago I told you about the brand war, in which we face two big coolers, the same ones that are attacked in a series of commercials, but these are not the only brands that are faced in the advertising war, since the Today we introduce you to two big fast food chains, we are talking about McDonalds and Burger King.

During 2012, Burger King posted growth of 4.4 percent worldwide, surpassing McDonalds who only managed to grow 3.6 percent, according to both restaurant chains. Will it be that in the publicity the King of the Burgers surpasses the yellow clown with striped socks

For me the two brands have had many problems McDonalds has had problems with the meat issue, but Burger King as well. First, the clown chain, had to face famous chefs, like Jamie Oliver, who fought to improve the meat. Oliver campaigned because he claimed that the meat they served was not fit for human consumption. In the end, he ended up winning against the giant, and they had to go over their menus in the UK.

On the other hand, Burger King also had problems, because it was discovered that the minced meat was added traces of horse meat, something that is perfectly consumable, but of what should be informed to the consumers.

But who more than us consumers to determine which of the two is better that's why here I will leave the best and the worst of each of these brands and in the end we will establish which of the two is our favorite:

McDonald's and Burger King are the Boca-River of hamburgers, with faithful devotees and detractors alike. In this note, we sit on the bench at the two largest chains of fast food: three reasons to love and three reasons to hate each one.

  1. The Big Mac: an icon of the chain that sells more than 50,000 million units per year worldwide. Three slices of bread with sesame seeds, two meat burgers, lettuce, cheddar cheese, pickles, rehydrated onions and a secret sauce made from cucumbers, which makes it a unique sandwich.

  2. McCafé: For a chain of sandwiches, the cafeteria is not bad at all. There are a variety of coffees, the cakes are good and the bill supplier is General Mills (Delicity), which for fast food is a plus. In addition there are newspapers for entertainment and has WIFI, which almost always walks.

  3. Auto Mac: If you are in a hurry and do not feel like going out to eat, it is an alternative that does not fail. Fast, simple and there is always one nearby to go by.

*The worst of McDonald's

  1. Cleaning: The tables are usually dirty and greased with mayonnaise remains (partly the responsibility of the dirty pigs) and the baths stink of concentrated disinfectant and pee.

  2. The furniture: a goal against. The rigid seats are embedded in the floor at a distance from the table enough that eating the hamburger is a task of physical elongation. The discomfort and the tide of people passing through the tables make the dining experience literally quick. Do not pretend to be more than 15 minutes sitting.

  3. Strawberry sundae: a gelatinous sauce of dubious origin that generously bathes vanilla soft ice cream. Have you ever seen anyone ask for it?

  1. The size of the burgers. Here the photo does not deceive. The largest, the Quadruple Stacker, comes with four medallions of beef, cheese, bacon, and Stacker sauce and is as large as it looks. The cooking of the meat is grilled, which makes it more flavorful.

  2. You can customize the hamburger: the possibility of adding what you want to your sandwich is an option that does not abound in fast food standardized attention. Obviously, the order is more expensive, but you have the benefit of putting the hamburger to your liking.

  3. The onion rings: they are an original accompaniment, so they deserve to be highlighted. Doraditos and crunchy, serve to leave the routine of the fried potato.

*The Worst of Burger King

  1. Breakfasts: Invoices, muffins and toast do not tempt the photos and, once on the palate, confirm all suspicions. They are dry and are not the brightest idea to start the day.

  2. Potato chips: they do not look good and they do not taste better. They are oily and like margarine. Better order the onion rings.

  3. Cleanliness: As in the case of competition, it is not its forte. The free tables are dirty and it is not uncommon to see the diners using their own napkins to clean them.

What do you like and least like about these chains? Which is your favorite?Thank you very much and happy afternoon, very attentive Fanny Mendoza (Fannyamor).

Very good although I prefer McDonald's

I like both of them. But in my city, McDonald's are everywhere while there is only very few Burger King left here. Perhaps people here have a little bit different taste.

Burger King is best for burgers, but McDonald's has the best fries and chicken nuggets. :)

I prefer McDonald's. they will kill me one day. Upvoted cos your facts are good! :)
