Huge Advertising Boost For Steemit!
The Biggest Ever?
Robert Steele is a former Central Intelligence Agency clandestine services case officer. He was interviewed today by Alex Jones on Infowars and said that in light of the war on free speech a new internet is needed.
He said, and I quote: "Steemit is a good start!"
Here is the link. It is mentioned at about 15:24

Could This Help The Value of Steemtit?
Until next time,

OK, which one of you wise guys has been bribing the CIA?
It definitely was not @berniesanders
Haha
I can feel the effect of Super Male Vitality right now.
lol to funny
looooooooooooooolololol the best yeah over 9000 hes a bigger man than trump the hair shows it :D the blonder the better :)
Cryptoctopus! You sir, win the internet for today!
Good one!
What a powerful statement for us all! All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
Are you ending all your comments with that slogan? I've nothing against Alexandre Dumas and indian greetings, but it's starting to get a bit old and could use some more variety...
let's see what happens!
Alex Jones is a problem, but publicity is always publicity.
alex jones is a tard*
He truly is a closet fascist and a highly unstable mind . No doubt about it. It hurts inside everytime I see some otherwise seemingly sensible politician or celebrity get on his show to promote themselves.
not good really
Making all sceptics of government mandates look like nuts since 96.
Well, I really like Robert Steele. He says Steemit is a good start, well would it be very easy for Trump to make an account on Steemit today. After all, he made one on Twitter. Trump does not have to worry about the popularity contest thing, he can pick his avenue.
Thank you!
Yes it was quite a feather in Steemit's cap to get the shout-out. It would be fantastic if one of the main Steemit players could follow up on this!
Twitter may block it, that was in the video. Someone needs to go visit him.
We could try make @penguinpablo's "a message from the Steem community to the president" go viral and reach the president that way. Instead of using links that probably get blocked on other platforms we could just share a screenshot of it. :)
That would be great. Anyone here who can do the Trump-voice for a video?
Create a new post looking for some talents! Maybe offer the posting rewards as incentive. :)
Great, absolutely fantastic. Trump will love Steem. Believe me, it's true!
Let's Make Steem Great Again! :-)
We really need to make a video of the message while the "joke" is still somewhat fresh. :)
Another place they can gather & gobble up the work of others to send out more fear to the public; who eat it up like dog treats!
Interesting observation
(Except that Alex Jones is a toad.)
It's a pity it was mentioned so briefly in passing. From what I have read, Alex Jones has a monthly listenership of about 6 million people? How many people will have likely heard that brief sentence by watching this interview?
Any individual only has to hear about the same thing three times in a relatively short time frame, before they take note. So getting the word "Steemit" out there in front of millions of people is powerful, if a few of them hear the word once or twice elsewhere as well.
Yes it was very brief but he is obviously impressed enough with the platform to mention it. It would behoove one of the developers or a member of the marketing team to follow up on this.
Nice that Steemit got a shout out. A shame it was on this particular show. Why are you listening to that shite? It'll rot your brain.
Thanks for coming.
You know what they say: "Those that don't listen to the news (mainstream or alternative) are un-informed. Those that listen tho the news ( from whatever source) mis-informed!" Keep your head on a swivel and use your power of reason.
Jones is not 'news'. He's an ego with a microphone.
I prefer Caitlin Johnstone. There's my power of reason in action. Don't assume I've not been paying attention.
Quite the contrary.
I'd like to think that I had something to do with this ; )
thanks for posting!
Thanks for having a look!
Great mention for Steemit.
This is exactly what I have been saying since I came on Steemit, this is Steemit´s real value at this time. It could change in the future, but right now any website that becomes known for truth and no censorship will become the next big thing. Steemit should be screaming about this and getting the message out there.
Good points!
fantastic
Free publicity!
All news is good news as they say in France!!
good point!
Steemit is a good start and hopefully a good end ;)
It's interesting to see who knows about the platform.
🙌🐥🙌
Yes
The blockchain is the answer to all of the internet censorship that is going on. Whether it is from the collusive social media sites or the government. I have faith that technology will keep us free, and stop a brave new world system. Freedom is popular!
We live in interesting times!
deal lord, do not bring Jones on steemit.
Haha I just got the time to comment I'm missing out on the YouTubes these days :D , at this point in time everything will increase the price :D even speculation.
The truth is we are pretty much free here, but that was the same with YouTube in the golden days. They were a platform for free speech and so on. So It feels like a pattern, a platform grows gets bought off from their core values and then ends up a success in the mainstream stripped out of the idea that made it, no censure here, sure, but you can be invisible :D ad you can be flagged for hate speech, that will cause a backlash true, but think about it if the Media channels get on and invest their millions in steem sure we will all profit, but they will flag people to the "underground" for hate speech and for fake news :D just my thoughts on the matter. The plus is that content stays even past the edits, so no argument there.
Nice to hear.
It caught me by surprise.
I think this place has huge potential as an alternative social network... we just need to bring more real contributors onboard, and not just people who think they can mindlessly make a fast buck.
Your contributions are certainly of high quality.
Thank you-- as are yours! We need more of that.

not really... :(
Well the show is certainly seem by many. Getting the free publicity was a bonus.
speaking about the biggest Ever Advertising Boost...
I think every time when some VC from Silicon Valley says something nice about Steemit, we get nice boost.
Good point. I haven't seen those. do you have a link or suggest where I could see one of the mentions?
Thanks for sharing this by the way. It inspired me to write a post, because the way he phrased that I realized we need to advertise some things about the steem blockchain that might be VERY popular with some crowds right now.

Glad that you felt inspired.

Excellent news. Robert Steele is a fantastic and seems to be very credible!
Yes it was good, free, publicity.
That is so cool! Steemit is definitely a "good start" and will be a part of my life for as long as it's around. :D
You are certainly doing well here with your contributions!
this could be huge.
maybe @dan @dantheman @ned should contact him.
imagine if Trump signed up to Steemit....
frankly I think Steemit is not only "a good start" but exactly all that's needed once a decentralized app is released and when pics/videos can also be included.
pics and video are included, just not on the blockchain but I'm guessing that's what you mean. You have the internet anyway, you can copy shit to infinity, what's the problem :D the issue is that people are pulling content, it's not youtube for instance that just thinks of deleting channels it's the political pressure. Once it's focused here same shit will start to happen. Unless of course you comply which I'm guessing everyone will since it's in the privacy policy ;D and Terms of service to be owned by the company :D of course they are simple and to te point. The chain is censure "free" but you can't post on it unless you make a new account probably.
I kind of can't get this fully. So you can use your power if you can't power down? :D
Well, I know that @dan saw the post so that's a start.

I try ! Thanks 👍😊
Thanks old dog
Thanks for coming!
Your post so incredible!!
But can you vote my post, thanks
Well, I don't think a simple mention of Steemit will be enough to tear
Bill HicksAlex Jones' viewers away from their quasi-hypnotic trance and go search what is Steemit. Now if Jones was to actually endorse Steemit, show the website and talk for a while about it, that would be another story.I love the idea of burying Twitter, Facebook, Google and Youtube! We have the technology. Steemit is a great start. As is gab.ai and voat.com
Not sure if it the cause but price seem to be stabilising.
Or, at least looks like. I hope
