If your answers to the above questions are negative in nature, that simply means that you have difficulty managing your time as effectively as you would want to. For one to have a result-yeilding and result-oriented work environment, there is great need to realize the great role time and money play in ensuring positive results. Not realizing this simply means running round in circles trying to do a particular thing without getting to achieve much.

Here are some basic tips that would help you manage time as well as increase productivity by balancing work and public life. They include :-

  • Understanding and Learning the Skill Of Time Management :- This is an important skill which helps free one from having to deal with stress. It emphasizes the need to do away with the act of postponing what you would do now for later.
  • Have a Daily Plan:- This helps you organize your thoughts. You can write down your plans and try as much as possible to stick to your plans. Do not fail to highlight the plans that would help you achieve your goals and summarize the time needed to execute them.
  • Congratulate Yourself For Any Achievements:- Thus strategy helps you appreciate your ability to keep to deadlines more and encourage you to achieve more.

  • Maximize the Use of your calendar :- You can organize your daily activities by using notes, mobile phones, e-mail etc.

  • Write down your long-term goals:- Writing your goals down helps you organize projects and plan your time well.
  • Set deadlines:- Writing down deadlines keeps you on your toes and helps you know 2hen you need to finish your work.
  • Try to stick to already planned out activities :- As much as possible, resist the urge of postponing already planned out events because you need to do an impromptu chores. This helps guard against multi-tasking and the tension of getting a job done on time.
  • Try as much as possible to finish your set goals in time by setting your own deadline way ahead of the main deadline. This helps you stay right ahead.
  • You can always have different times set for different tasks.

  • Always make room for extra time either for rest or to plan the way to go about set tasks.

  • Always set a reminder on your phone to remind you say 15 or 20 minutes ahead of a planned meeting, event etc. This helps you be on time and be seen as a stickler for time. Consequently, you will be seen as a serious person.
  • Avoid distractions :- As much as possible, try and cut out other distractions and focus entirely on your work. This ensures thoroughness and efficiency.

  • Focus on the important details and do away with the unimportant ones.

  • Always remember that you cannot do everything at once. Learn hie to give priority to things that are very important.

Proper time management can be achieved by recording activities, assessing achieved activities etc.
