Full Scottish Breakfast 🍳
I went to Scotland a couple of weeks ago as i like to do at least once a year to visit my family and friends and while i was there, i got to eat some lovely Scottish food, when i say Scottish food i mean food from the area where i grew up and lived which is the Glasgow, North Lanarkshire area,
The food from this area from butchers, bakeries, fishmongers and greengrocers etc is excellent, some of these are award winning establishments, producing some of the finest products available.
So, this post is dedicated to the food i ate whilst in bonny Scotland, I may as well start with breakfast, this is the Full Scottish Breakfast as opposed to the Full English Breakfast, The range of food in a typical Glasgow breakfast can be quite diverse: bacon, beef links and pork links sausages, square beef lorne sausages, clootie dumpling or fruit pudding, black pudding, tattie(potato) scones, scotch pancakes, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, eggs - all fried along with anything else you can think of that you can fry (within reason), served with a scotch roll - simply delicious, very fattening, this breakfast can sometimes be started off with a bowl of Scott's Porage(porridge) made with salt rather than sugar, which i had as a starter many times when i was younger, its one of those staples that is consumed in large quantities.
This is what i usually have:
Well, i didn't want to over-do it, I will post on how to cook a perfect Full Scottish Breakfast in the very near future so stay posted.
