Remember getting caught passing a note in school? Evil teacher reads it to the whole class making you the punk-ass laughing stock. Well the note has been usurped by the text. By Instagram, Facebook, twitter on and on ad nauseam. How? By every student being allowed their personal cell phone in class. Of course they're not supposed to use them during class. Riiight. They're allowed to have them but not allowed to use them. That's stupid. Teachers are being told NOT to take them but plead with the parents to discipline their child about it. Riiight. Fuck that. How's this. Third time you disobey a direct order and disrupt class you are suspended permanently. Go find a private school for your stupid little fuckup and it's smart little phone tax payers aren't footing the bill any longer bitch! Or... because I do have a softer side, is it possible to just confiscate the culprits phone temporarily? Then read their tweets or text stream or wtf ever to the whole class? Just like they used to with notes. Interrupt MY class and other students opportunity to learn and waste hard working American tax payers dollars and you're gonna pay the price with shame and embarrassment!
If that doesn't work, how about Duct taping a big 'ol white plastic Cone Of Shame around the shitheads neck and then hand them back their phone. Can't look down at it now can you tweety? If it stops a dog from chewing out itchy stitches it'll probably stop a parental-fail
king-baby brained student from looking at their phone. Maybe, I don't know, i am not a teacher.
The cell phone will teach the kid much much more than an underpaid, uneducated teacher with a prideful chip on his/her shoulder still trying to prove his/her own "bad parents" wrong.. I think it's a matter of doing away with the teacher and trust technology with our children's education. Cause lets be honest, NOTHING, especially not parents will stop the youth from partaking in this 30 year long technological revolution that is the internet. Embrace the fact that it is and will always be a better teacher than some jaded stranger, factoring in that passion and interest are the only foundations of education.. IT's time for the old shrivs to stop fighting for dead ideals and engage for once and figure out a way to use these distraction laden technologies to better the educational model. It's time to give up a dead fight and see things from their perspective for once, not an outdated interpretation of it compared to the modern classroom. Kids are probably still passing notes too! They just read shit like "Hey fuck face, we're 10 years old, life is short, lets do drugs and fuck like it's the 60's and check your twitter, I shared a video of a bath salt zombie tweaker eating someones face off in the name of Allah."... You know, modern stuff like that.
Brilliant!
Huzzah!
You shouldn't be too mad. They're forced to be there. Try putting yourself as a student/teacher into advanced classes where the students actually care about studying. You'll be surprise what a big difference it is between a beginning art class and a studio art class, for example. Same thing with math, English, chemistry, biology, physics, the seat fillers aren't there wasting space. The other regular classes are probably garbage and you shouldn't waste your breath with them.
Two words: Soylent Green!
Waste them brats, It's worth it, just ask Madeline Albright!
Ps. Understanding sarcasm is a sign of a healthy mind.
I am glad you're not a teacher haha
Me too, har!
