AEW: Jade Cargill "Rookie of the Year" says TK, and I agree

Jade Cargill
While she may have faced some notable AEW talent and popular wrestlers from the independent scene, Jade Cargill needs to beat Thunder Rosa protege' Janai Kai on the 12/3 episode of Rampage to keep her name in the conversation for the TBS Championship, and to back up Tony Khan's words of her being the "Rookie Of The Year."

Jade Cargill is 18-0 and has worked at her presentation and persona.

At first, I was not digging it. We've seen tall, strong women in wrestling rings for years and the only one that actually got marketed correctly (to a certain degree) was Chyna. I'm not against them by no means, all I'm saying is I concerns on how they were going to present her to the AEW crowd.

Two good moves AEW did with Jade: First, they aligned her with a great program, having her feud with Red Velvet. This planted the seeds to create a great on again off again rivalry. In addition, they were both put over by Cody Rhodes and Shaquille O'Neal.

Moving away from that angle, Jade excels with "Smart" Mark Sterling, and has come off as the woman to beat for sure. My only issue with her record is she's yet to face Britt Baker, though she is undefeated. Odd rankings stuff I guess.

And has she really faced anyone worth talking about? Yes. In September, she defeated Nyla Rose and Thunder Rosa in a three-way on Rampage, and Leyla Hirsch on 9/15 episode of AEW Dynamite. And yet, here lies the problem. If she's not going to be in any true Main Roster stories, then the TBS Championship needs to be the story.

Jade Cargill: The Next Redeemer?
Jade Cargill can be the Miro for that TBS Championship and no one would disagree. I don't think anyone in the Womens Division deserves it but her, and she's home grown - a good look for AEW.
