Love begins with a sudden, unfamiliar heartbeat, a strange feeling that stays with us as we breathe, a nervousness that we can't quite explain, a sudden flutter in our chest, a quick loss of words. It starts out gently, strangely, sometimes even makes us laugh, putting us in awkward situations simply because of how flustered we feel around the one we love. Sometimes we laugh for no reason because we can’t help but smile, lost in dreams that fill our mind.
Then love deepens, aligning our heartbeat, making us more mature and understanding. It turns us into people more capable of giving, sacrificing, forgiving—things we never thought we'd do. The one we love becomes our day and night, our dreams while awake and asleep, the source of our deepest fears, our endless worries, and the center of our heart.
Then it roots itself within us; we become softer, more sensitive to everything about the one we love. Every breeze that touches them, every sadness that fills them, every word they say, every place they go—even every small look and gesture—becomes meaningful to us. It digs in deeper until we can hardly bear the hours without seeing the one we love. Other faces seem unfamiliar, every sound is empty without their voice, every touch feels unreal except for theirs. Only their hand feels truly close, only their scent feels genuine, and any time without them feels like an empty dream.
Then it takes us over entirely, and we become a reflection of them. We start to love what they love, avoid what they avoid, and live their life within our own. We live them in every detail. Then it melts within us, until we no longer feel like separate people. We are reborn in another form—the form of the one we love!
When we love, we become one soul in two bodies, two lives intertwined, a shared face, a heart split between two. Love becomes a new beginning that has no end.
