Tannie: That’s a Crowned eagle, I took at Mkuze....

Tannie: The female is always bigger than the male because she has to sit on the nest to incubate the eggs he feeds her so she needs to have more body weight. The normally lay two eggs and after they hatch the remove the weakest hatchling and rear the strongest

Nephew: 😮 wow that's amazing, makes sense Tannie.
Do all birds of prey share that relationship for survival of their species?

Tannie: I don’t really know but they mate for life ... if one dies they look for another partner. They both feed the young and teach them to hunt etc. once they are adept the parent birds chase them away to find their own mate and territory.
