Africa is hugely misunderstood

Since the times of colonisation, some individuals and organisations has placed the deep seated impression on the world, that africa is the dark continent. Now, when most people think of the clause "Dark Continent" all they see in their minds eye are pictures of disease, famine, war, backwardness, sicknesses, hunger, witchcraft. But, I can boldly say there are places in africa that has the capability of challenging any other city in the world, talk of states like lagos and abuja in Nigeria (west Africa) or the beautiful state of Nairobi in Kenya (east Africa).

l'v said it times without number, and i'l say it again. "Africa is not a country!" Africa is hugely misunderstood. When I look at the inhabitants of africa, I see resilience, enterprising individuals, cultural diversification, progression, developement. Africa is one of those few places you see a widow take care of her 5 children by just selling petty food items by the road side.

When you make a search for africa on internet, you most likely will see the image of that african child with pot belly, hopeless and homeless. while the world has decided to potray that child to represent africa, i have decided to show the real picture of africa.

HERE ARE SOME IMAGES OF AFRICA THE WORLD WILL HARDLY PROJECT TO YOU.

This continent africa we speak of, holds 2.3 trillion dollars worth of gold reserves alone, africa holds over 60% of the worlds uncultivated arable land, ready to grow diverse crops, but is only responsible for about 3% of agricultural exports in the world. Did I hear you ask why? well, since you asked, its majorly because of the fear of doing business in africa. The largest reserves of strategic minerals are also resident in africa. strategic minerals, such as cobalt, chrome, and copper. Just like any other region in the world, I must say now that, african countries need foreign direct investments to help grow their economy. I am @akiripromise, thank you all, as we all see africa rise to its full potential.
