Africa, the continent of the black man. Blessed with resources, flourished and was prosperous, a once sane society, self dependent and civilized. It hurts to see them display Africa on TV as they were cavemen. Tell them the Story of the Nok, the Benin Kingdom, Ile-ife - about the egyptians. That was Africa, but our situation now is pathetic and drives me to tears. The poem below I penned for our great AFRICA.
We had prosperous days time past
pasture so green, resources we had
a sane society our culture was bright
boys were boys the girls were girls
Men were out all day
some at the river some at the farm
There was Africa - The giant so great
The White-skinned entered the land
The black-skinned sold his blood to the white-skinned hands
for whiskey and mirror they were taken to some far away land
Black man saw his blood no more
Cruelty! that's what it is
you give your blood away for some benefits
to some people whose aim is to bring you defeat
but black-man never saw need to retreat
