Howzit, hi there everyone, if you made it this far, thanks for clicking through. LOL, ok ok -

Let us begin with the birth of Bitcoin -

In October 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published a paper on The Cryptography Mailing list at metzdowd.com describing the bitcoin digital currency. It was titled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. In January 2009, Nakamoto released the first bitcoin software that launched the network and the first units of the bitcoin cryptocurrency, called bitcoins.

And crypto was BORN! That was 8 years ago too much for me to explain in this post but if you want direction go to Audible and look for Andreas M. Antonopoulos book, the Internet of Money, or follow me on my facebook page BitcoinvCurrency fast forward 8 years - May/June 2017 - the total market cap of the Cryptocurrencies totaled over $100 Billion!

That is pretty impressive. With the release of Bitcoin came the invention of Altcoins and a phenomenon was created - ICOs "Initial Coin Offers" many other industries, exchanges, wallets companies and more importantly "BITlievers", Investors, Speculators, Newbies, Global Business Personalities i.e Richard Branson, Bill Gates and a whole host of other people and organisations much like yourselves individuals that wanted to learn more and take that leap and they all invested in this space and the tech! They all have skin in the game! As mentioned earlier $100 Billion! Just like me and hopefully you if you get value from this yarn that i am stringing together here and it all starts making sense and then hopefully Cents.

So why Africa? I say why not - there is a desperate need for Africa to adapt and adopt crypto. let me mention just a few below,

  • 1 Billion unbanked
  • 60% of population is under 30
  • Africans adopted and adapted to smart devices and connectivity 3 times quicker than the rest of the planet
  • Online Wallets - Mpesa - EcoCash etc have been operating for years in participating countries
  • Over $60 billion a year is being made with handling fees on remittance
  • Corruption by Governments of the Fiat currencies of the day shutterstock_239971570-640x729.jpg

This is where i can offer you a

Africa is unique she is a beauty...... the banking systems and all that BS are another story! A few cases in point

  1. It can take as much as 10 days to get registered banks to talk with Crypto Exchanges Platforms such as CEX.io in Zimbabwe, this can become very discouraging, but once it has been achieved then it exists.
    images (1).png
  2. And then in the same week i spoke with a now mining partner for 2 hours in South Africa as we funded a wallet for him with BTC from localbitcoins.com exchange and then invested in a mining contract with my company, different platforms and banks but once it has been achieved then it exists.

  3. Some countries are still unable to open and fund accounts ie Zambia Botswana but progress is being made slowly
    images (6).jpg
  4. and then i have a mining partner in Kenya who understood the tech as they already had Bitcoin, upon seeing my FB page they invested in a mining contract and paid in BTC!! - Zero contact with me - i was only aware of the investment when i recieved a notification saying that i had an investor INVEST!

As cryptocurrencies become more socially acceptable and are better understood, people are openly speaking Bitcoin etc. With this also come Scams and plenty of them. You have to becareful out there. Do the DD and invest the time into the tech so that you can start understanding and growing with it.

So in closing i hope this provided value and insight my name is Gary i am an Ex ZimAfrican living in Vegas and i love everything crypto if you would like to pick my brain, HMU on social media

Peace out.
