I want to give someone in Africa a free laptop!
Here is what i have to offer:
Lenovo Thinkpad Edge
2GB Ram
Dual core CPU
250GB HDD
Charger
Windows 7
The unit is second hand, tested and working, ready to plugin and start using.
It sells here in Australia for about $80-100AUD.
Now i am sure many people want this.. so to make it fair we will have a little competition!!
To get this free laptop.. all you need to do is take a picture of yourself in Africa.. holding up a sign or piece of paper saying:
@jimbojones I want a free laptop!!
Whoever posts the best picture, decided by upvotes from the community will win.
Get creative.. post some nice scenery from Africa, wild animals, something funny or something interesting!!
A few simple rules to this competition:
You must reside in Africa.
You must be one of my followers to win.
Laptop will only be shipped to an address in Africa.
Picture must be taken in Africa.
You must be holding the sign with the writing "@jimbojones I want a free laptop!!"
Once you have received the laptop, i would really appreciate a pic of yourself, the laptop and a smile :)
This competition will run for one week.. winner will be announced 30/08/2017
Once a winner has been picked, shipment will be made within one week, ill provide my email so you can send me your address.
Shipment will be made via Australia post registered mail with tracking number.

I currently send about 2000 computers per year to Africa.

And besides that.. the purpose of my promotions here on steemit is to build my following. I want to be popular on steemit and do well.
If i rip people off.. its going to have the opposite effect.. i will be mr unpopular.
Once the competition is over i will add the tracking number to this post.. so everyone can see the item is sent.

I do IT recycling for schools and companies.
Much of the older stuff can't be used much here in Australia anymore so much of it goes to Africa, Pakistan, India.
I am glad i can help people in poorer countries get computers :)

I don't deal with anyone in Africa myself, i deal with the exporters here in Australia :)

Ok following you now, I need a laptop suitable for data analysis (a gaming laptop would suffice). Which lennovo laptop do you recommend ?

That model looks very new.. mostly i get 2-3 year old stuff :)
I do certainly get some nice ones like that from time to time but not as often as i would like :)
Laptops in general are not good for gaming because they always overheat if you play them for long hours.
The best lenovo laptops that i would get in for gaming would be the T400 series.. they have a decent graphics card and some good ventilation.
If this promotion does well in the future i could give away much better computers.. time will tell :)
