Like every other police force in the world, most of the police in Africa have their fair share of corruption, brutality and injustice. It is really heartbreaking to know that we're all afraid of the people that we're supposed to run to for protection... I am a Kenyan citizen and it's really sad to wake up to news of a man shot to death by a police officer over a face mask. It's seriously discouraging to even sit and watch the news so I just avoid it in every possible way. 
I wish I had the ability to change all of this.
