Larry the Monitor Lizard

Larry was strolling around looking for pickings left behind from the humans that had just disappeared. And not a minute to soon... “Damn here comes another car!” Larry thought as he tried to scamper away into darkness

As we pull in next to our safari tent accommodation I see this monitor lizard sidling from under our raised tent to under the neighbor’s.

Larry peers from the darkness and observes the noisy two legged creatures. When they quiet down a bit he saunters to under the closest object, “weird round legs” goes through his mind as he carries on his merry way hoping that the casual observer might not see him or perhaps try to eat him. You never know with these winged creatures.

We come back from our little stroll around the camp and was quite surprised to find the rather big lizard climbing the tree just in front of our tent. My friend was rather taken aback that a big lizard like that could climb and was scared that the lizard might fall on her.

“Busted! If I just keep still...” Larry keeps perfectly still, only his eyes barely move observing the nosy humans. “Why did I take my time? O yeah, that bite to eat was nice... Wait! What? Oh a picture, wait let me pose!”

Sitting down with a nice cool refreshing drink, we watch as the lizard rather quickly climbs further and further up the tree, hearing his nails on the bark. He went quite high, best guess he climbed up to a height of about 5m and we could no longer see him

“These branches don’t hang over the fence! Well there goes that plan! I will just recuperate here for a while, and then that compact beast with the round legs is my next plan of action”

During the night there was a loud noise like something falling on top of our tent, now to my imagination, I saw the lizard using the tent as a trampoline to break the fall and get to the ground. It was nowhere to be found the following morning.

“Oh this is the best plan ever!” Thought Larry “As soon as this beast stops I will just tilt sideways and fall out from my hiding place underneath”
“Finally I am free” rejoiced Larry
"Sigh, wrong stop”

Ok, I came to read your stories. This was an interesting story, go Larry! Haha. Keep it up. :) So here are my thoughts:

The Good Stuff

I like that you structure your stories by breaking the text into multiple paragraphs. It's not good to have too long paragraphs, as it makes the reading experience tiresome. Well done on this part! :)

Also, using multiple images in between the story really helps to illustrate things and it gives me as the reader a break from reading. Looking at pictures is always nice.

Possible Things to Improve

Try to divide your stories a little bit by using some titles when it fits (h1, h2, h3, etc. inside the: <> brackets). Also remember to utilise bold and italic if you want to highlight something important (or give a side note about something), this makes for easier and nicer reading experience.

Just my personal thoughts. :) Good luck for you, and have a nice day!

Thank you so much! I will definitely try the advise.
Warm regards

Haha! I like Larry. ♥
