Right from the time Africans felt the hot breeze of colonization in their various countries, their God given potentials seems to have become more and more obvious to them that without an atom of doubt every African is never oblivious of this fact.

To say that Africans acquired these outstanding potentials of theirs from the various British countries that colonized them would be a crude error seeing that these potentials of theirs was embedded upon them by the grand architect of the universe.

The most intriguing thing about Africans remains that they never left their God given potentials in the state of inertia in addition to the fact that they were able to build on it and made something magical happen.

They saw the world with new eyes and were never held down by the manacles of anxiety concerning the future.

In the past few years, Africans have set up so many records and achievements which remains almost countless even if one should persist in the counting. Great African men and woman who discovered the potentials in them soon started making changes around them with great dexterity.

Africans input towards different areas of life like technology, art, literature, peace, movement, sports etc. are just too conspicuous that it cannot be left ignored.

In the 1980's, A man from Nigeria by the name Philip Emeagwali was able to produce the fastest computer with 65,000 processors which performed 3 billion calculations per second. Till now, the world has not yet recovered from the astonishment of such great discovery.

Was this the only thing Africans could do? No. Coming to the world of art and literature, Africans like Late Chinua Achebe of Nigeria, Late Nadine Gordimer of South Africa, Chimamander Adichie of Nigeria and others who kept their noses to the grind stone stood and are still standing as the great oracles of literature in the world today. Without any element of doubt, the works of these great authors has engraved the name of Africa on the stones of excellence.

Speaking more on the achievements and records that has been set by Africans would be tantamount to converting this whole article into a library of books.

Africans possess great potentials deposited upon them by God which always make them unique. For the past years these potentials have been put into work and produced changes. Young and up coming Africans sitting out there should stare up their potentials and put them into use.

By putting our potentials to use I guess we will become one bar closer to our goals and destinies.
