The AI flu is everywhere, with seemingly no end in sight. They're so obvious too, so how would I describe them? They read with a clinical and antiseptic voice, if you can call it that. It feels like viewing soft-core porn when something harder would hit the (g) spot. Know what I mean?
It's composed of soulless, vanilla text that reads like a machine picked out the words from its understanding of robotic English. I'm seeing more and more of this shit on Hive, and now the bastards are too lazy to even be bothered to write their own comments without help.
I call it 'Soap Opera Writing.'
The script writers for soap operas run that crap through a blender before handing the scree to the "actors" to spew out. That's what this stuff is like. The people from 'The Land of Scammers' like to use AI to create their highly-upvoted posts.
I can tell who's doing it because I read their natural broken-English posts before the arrival of ChatGPT, so I know they naturally write.
They churn that stuff out like an emotionless robot on an AI assembly line.

There's usually a telltale pattern in AI created articles that make them easy to spot. They don't read the way a normal person talks.
There's a world of difference of course between say, a research-paper type post and one where your dog is taking a dump during your walk in the park. The research article will be written in a more professional manner in order to get the information out.
The other day I spotted one where you could even see a certain phrase being repeated in several paragraphs. The lazy fuck didn't even take the time to comb through the artificially-written text to weed out the stuttering repeats in the faux "article."
No, they have to publish that shit on Hive so that they can turn the "earned" tokens into mobile withdrawals, cashout and laugh at the foolish westerners for upvoting that nonsense in the first place.
Somebody needs to whitelist genuine authors.
Where are we headed? I don't know. If nobody is actually writing the stuff, will anybody be around to actually read the content down the line?
Even Reddit mods are weighing in on the issue as they're getting tired of generative AI infecting their platform and prefer text written by real people (note: my issue is with AI text not images).
Authors who engage in real expressive writing are needed more now than ever before. I'm going to keep this post short, as I don't know how many people are left to do any actual reading, but to those of you who are engaged in authentic writing, your voice is very much appreciated here on Hive.
sadly I am not all that good of a writer. I am more of a "whats on my mind" hobby blogger. Just a guy doing it for my mental health. I also enjoy the engagement and relationships too.
The great thing is that your comments are real and not generated by AI. It makes them a lot more valuable when we know we're responding to an actual person and not a bot. :)
domo arigato from mr roboto. LOL
Interesting!
