I've been using AI in my day-to-day engineering work for about three months. I'm in the midst of creatively writing project specifications, and I can tell you I don't know how I would have done it without AI... obviously, I would have done it all, but at a huge intellectual and time cost.
I started with ChatGPT, but for the past few weeks, I've fully integrated COPILOT into all my office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel (this one still has a long way to go before it's fully usable), PowerPoint, Teams...
It's incredible how much time it saves me, just by summarizing the information I need to know, or giving it a more formal touch, or correcting some nonsense or error...
Obviously, you can't trust it to do everything; you have to know how to ask and "help" it to get what you want... but I can tell you that what I foresee in the coming months regarding this technology is unimaginable.
COPILOT (or ChatGPT) really learns from you and can learn exactly what you expect—the format, the tone, the objective... it's incredible.
At first, I tended to think AI was a risk for us... at least at the work level. Now I'm starting to think I wouldn't go back without it.
AI has seamlessly integrated into my daily life... I don't even notice it anymore, although I continue to be surprised by every "discovery" I make... it even makes me dizzy sometimes (LoL)...
AI can really help you write faster too, it's got answers to the question and yes could study you so well it ends up giving you exactly what you wanted. Sometimes it’s wrong, but fixing it is still easier than starting from nothing. Eventually the kids of the future may not be able to work without it lol.
me neither 😂
hahaha, I'm going to be guilty of that too 🤣
ai is acting like a time & effort savvier for you, that's a great thing, isn't it?
AI can be helpful depending on how you use it. I agree, that it can be quite helpful, but its not always the most accurate so you have to double check the information.
I have not fully embraced this AI technology but with the little I’ve done, it’s definitely a life saver. Won’t do all the work of course not like you said. It it saves a whole lot of work. Ama about to dive into all it has to offer. Not holding back one bit.
My colleagues used it to some development, they had to adjust just a little
