I did a quick research on its capabilities and limitations. And yes, I must admit that it is far much more than what I imagined it to be. I am stunned. For now, my opinion would be in different parts as there is a variety of artists and the corresponding art they create. Dall E seems to be able to form a solid base composition of an idea when it comes to concept art. However, depending on the desired result, it might or might not need adjustments that can only be done by a human so far. Like refining, finer details, blending accurately and all that. So for now, it feels like a contested position between both in the area of concept art.
My other opinion on it would be whatever remains to be touched by the AI. Art has a lot under the blanket. So many creative processes and results, so many effects and imagined subjects. And god knows so many possibilities. For example, an AI for now can't replace a stylised artist. Or an animator and such creators. In short, not a lot has been replaced by now but damn, it is scary that it managed to even do that.
As ethics go, I don't like that an AI is being hired as a creator and not a tool. All that for efficient production is just.... it just kills the value of said art and the whole idea of a person making things.
