Nyx

in #aiartlast year (edited)

I’m excited to share with you my awesome project about Nyx, the goddess of the night. She is one of the most intriguing figures in Greek mythology, and the inspiration for my latest series of digital artworks, which combine photography, AI, and Photoshop.

Nyx is the ancient Greek goddess of the night, the daughter of Chaos and the mother of many dark forces. She is mysterious, powerful, and beautiful. She existed before the creation of the world, and even Zeus did not dare to anger her. She represents the dark side of nature, but also the source of life and creativity.

I wanted to capture her essence in my artworks, and to do that, I used a mix of different tools and techniques. Here is how I created my series:

I kicked off by using Midjourney ro brainstorm and sketch concepts. It gave me some cool suggestions and directions to explore.

Then, I found a model for a photoshoot. It was Natalia, who I had worked with in the past. She is very open to creative ideas and has a stunning presence in front of the camera.

My assistant painted Natalia with black paint, to symbolize Nyx’s connection to the night and darkness. It was a fun process, and Natalia was very patient and cooperative. She looked like a goddess herself.

I took tons of photos of Natalia in different poses and angles. I wanted to capture her expressions and movements as realistically as possible keeping in mind future compositions.

Culling process was far less fun. From hundreds of photos I selected the best ones. I looked for the photos that had the most impact and emotion, and that matched my vision for Nyx.

I created backgrounds and props with help of Stable Diffusion and Automatic111. It took some trial and error, but I finally got some images that fit my theme and style.

Then, I combined the photos, backgrounds, and props in Photoshop, to create raw scenes for my artworks. I used various filters, adjustments, layers, masks, and blending modes to achieve the desired effects.

Finally, after some fine-tuning between Photoshop and Automatic1111, and some finishing touches, I had a series of 3 images I like.

I’m very proud of my series, and I hope you like it as much as I do. Let me know what you think in the comments section. More to come soon!
