I never get tired of seeking out the beauty of our natural world. This little critter was taking a rest on our side door and luckily stayed there while I retrieved my phone and snapped this capture. I hope you can all enjoy it as much as I do. In science we learn that one of the most basic premises of evolution is that form follows function. One might expect to find this webworm amongst a patch of leaves or feeding on marigolds rather than a white door frame. Then again, I am not quite sure what its natural enemies are. Regardless, despite being abundant in N.C., I had not seen one, to take a picture of, in a very long time.
