First of all, I wish to appreciate @air-clinic for this platform and @annieben for introducing me to @air-clinic. This below is a true fiction that centres on the topic of the day, stress. Do enjoy!
This life reminds me of our politicians, showing you promises of one thing and doing another.

August, 1996 witnessed the union of a man and his wife. That was the first time I meant what I said when I said, "I do!" With wedding gifts that were sure to make the elderly women wish for a second marriage, I was more than optimistic that mine was going to be the ideal marriage. But fate had other plans.
12 years into marriage was blessed with two beautiful children. Best children in the neighbourhood, if you ask me. I and my husband weren't wealthy but still we weren't poor (at least our first born was fat). And all was going well until my husband was diagnosed with stroke.

Now half the man I always knew him to be, I had to share my husband with paralysis. Both of the children were in secondary school (SS2 and Basic 8) and as their dad was temporarily unavailable, I learnt that being a man isn't a day's job.
Now, I have to work an extra hour at the office. A part time job was necessary if I needed to feed everyone in the house because my meagre salary wouldn't go round. I found a land where I got on rent and started a farm there.
So my daily routine became: Office then farm then home. It was demanding but what was I to do? Watch my children cry out of hunger?
Well, that was three years ago. My husband died after one year the stroke struck. Now, I work three jobs just to feed the kids and send them to school. My first boy is already at the University and I pray to God everyday that he makes me proud at the end.
Oh...it's already 3:45am? I've done it again. Over thinking. I hope my blood pressure won't go higher than it is already. Thank God for Doctor John.
God please bless my children for me. Be their father and provide for them cos they're fatherless. Give me strength. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
