It was 3:30pm in the evening chief Omenka woke up looking at his wristwatch ahh!! he exclaimed why did he wake up so early from his siesta. As he was pondering on this a stinging pain pierced through his heart ah!! he now remembers, before sleeping he had complained about the heart ache to his wife and she had asked him to visit the hospital in the evening.

Well he said to himself am a sportsman I will just go to the tennis court around 4:30pm do a little warm up and play a game and I will be fine, “Moreover I have a political party meeting this evening and wouldn’t want anything that would stop me from attending”. Chief Omenka was the state treasurer of one of the leading political parties in the country the PPP (Peoples Progressive Party) and this was a period when the Local Government Elections were to hold so everybody in the party needed to bring their A game.
Off he went to the sports club, on his way he called his friend Mr. Rookie whom he had known for about 20 years now. It took about 10 mins drive for him to get to the sports club, Rookie was already at the club waiting so all he needed was to get his rack and of they went into the pitch to get some game time.
They had just finished the second set when his face towel fell of his waist he then bent over to pick it up and then came the sharp pain again it was so hard that he couldn’t withstand it, before he knew it he was on the floor and darkness was soon covering his senses and he could hear faint voices fading away calling Chief!! Chief!!!!
Mr Rookie on the other hand seeing that his friend was on the floor rushed and called an ambulance and rushed him to federal medical center.
After some examination the doctor came out to meet them with great despair on his face, “doctor is he ok Rookie asked”, We lost him he replied……………..
