This is a kind of difficult issue though.
Basically when people see a 'fat' person they'll just assume they eat too much and vice versa but sometimes diet is not the issue. Very true, our diet plays a very important role in our health and contributing to weight gain and loss but in my case I don't think this is.
Personally, I hardly eat especially when I return from school to the house but still I gain weight and Yea I'm very selective when it comes to food so I attribute my weight gain to other things than diet such as peace of mind, being around loved ones and other fun things... Basically remaining happy. And before you know it, I'm up again and gaining so much weight that my parent are just always surprised because they know I hardly eat food and don't take junks. Almost on a daily they even preach to me about the importance of eating healthy and not skipping meals but other times they are like 'let's just leave her... It doesn't show on her body Afterall'.. Lol
So my point is, diet has an effect on weight loss but In my case, it is not.
But in most cases diet have a great effect on weight loss as some diet have low calories level which reduces the amount of carbs stored in our body as fat and as such it's recommended that if one is trying to lose weight, checking what they eat together with other physical activities is important. Eating healthy food is recommended and eating junks from fast food because we don't have time to make good meals should be avoided.
