Last May 25, 2018 — Everipedia, a blockchain-based encyclopedia, announced that their IQ Token EOS Holder AIrdrop this coming June will be supported in a following exchanges: BitFinex, BigONE, CoinEx, ZB.com and EXX. And then, according to them, airdrops will also across to a variety of exchanges for a wider distribution of IQ tokens. And so, EOS holders do not have to worry about moving their tokens off exchange ahead of the Airdrop.
Fairly enough, I guess? But the only thing I wanna know, why only on exchange?
IQ tokens will be distributed to EOS holders in June, and that will be the central component of the incentive structure within Everipedia's protocol, which rewards users for curating articles, allowing editors to become stakeholders in the network — just like Steem. Editors may select from any of the exchanges in the following list to access their IQ tokens.
As of now, the ratio between IQ Tokens and EOS Holdings are not yet verified by the team, as well as the circulating supply. But, more likely, as the date comes near — that will be released and hopefully IQ Tokens become accessible in across those exchanges above.
"Receiving support from such a wide variety of exchanges demonstrates the blockchain community's enthusiasm and investment in our project," said Sam Kazemian, Co-Founder and President of Everipedia. "With many exchanges on board, Everipedia is on track to be one of the largest dapps the world has seen."
"With support from these major exchanges, we'll be able to increase user accessibility to IQ tokens, incentivizing them as stakeholders," said Everipedia Co-founder and CEO Theodor Forselius. "Ensuring greater participation is key to our mission of decentralizing knowledge."
Me: Everyone, fill your bags now. This could be a good project. The project have $30 millions secured funds, it is enough to be an amazing IQ Token.
I am with you, I do not see any value of these tokens outside of the Everipedia ecosystem as of now, but time will tell I guess as we always find a way to profit for the most abscure situations.
The project itself is fantastic and I am sure it will succeed though.
"...as we always find a way to profit for the most abscure situations." Lol. You're right.
Do you think that the rewards in Everipedia should be also in $(USD) value just like in Steem?
I would like them to at least offer some form of USD payment/token, but the Everipedia team seem to want to keep rewards within the system.
If they did give us the option to convert to USD or at least the new TrueUSD, I feel they would grab the attention of a lot more potential writers and curators.
Especially now, articles on the internet are much appreciated than the newspaper. Lol. I hope their system really works as good as should.
