Every time I turn around there is a new coin trying to make its mark in the world of crypto. These coins range from direct clones of existing coins to completely original ideas. I don't know when it started exactly, but I noticed the #Airdrop phenomena first when Byteball entered the market. I was initially confused by the concept, I mean why would you just give your coin away? It didn't make sense to me. Over time I saw the brilliance behind that strategy . This is where Rebellious Token comes in. The team behind the Rebellious Token aim to airdrop 250,000,000 coins over 40 days. According to their twitter feed they set the bar very high. They want 125,000 participants to take part. This is an ambitious goal.
What's interesting is that they aren't trying to raise funds. They plan on dropping 95% of tokens during the airdrop. It will be possible to earn tokens after the airdrop ends and there is a 10% Proof of Stake reward. At some point after the airdrop ends they are going to swap the tokens to their own blockchain. This is in their white paper.
Their stated goal is to break the top 25 on coinmarketcap.com. As of this writing the number 25 coin is Ark with $252,463,475. I will round down to $250,000,000 to make the math easier to understand.
With an airdrop of 250,000,000 coins and assuming they hit number 25 on coinmarketcap.com ($250,000,000), each coin would be worth $1 USD. In order for that to happen the coin must be used and the community. They already have the whitepaper translated into other languages which makes the Rebellious Token community that much bigger.
I would not normally recommend a coin for the simple reason that I cannot read a chart to save my life. I have done okay with my crypto tradings, but there is no way I would ever advises someone else to buy a specific coin or asset. However, this coin needs more participants. All you need to do to get into the airdrop is go to their website and register your email for the airdrop and then wait for the announcement, then follow the steps, whatever they may be. It's free. There are "free" airdrops out there that do ask for donations. I avoid those. Like the plague.
Of course when signing up for this or ANY airdrop do not give out your private keys. Don't take my advice blindly, I encourage everyone to look into this or any crypto themselves before making a decision. I just want to get Rebellious Token on more peoples radar. I think this coin has the potential to disrupt the current initial coin distribution model (as vague as that is). If a marketplace evolves and people can buy goods and services with it, expect it to have a small impact on e-commerce as well.
