Hello everyone, due to some recent question that came up continuously by some new users, I found it fit to make this post and I will try to be as detailed as possible.
Here with you today is @otemzi and let’s see if we can add in something new to our knowledge on steemit world today and I do hope that by the end of this post, I will be able to shed more light on certain dark aspect or uncleared question here.
- This is not a tutorial but rather a review of certain website which would benefit and improve our stay here on the steem blockchain.
Although, we do have many but will be looking at few, I will try my possible best to give out the little I already know.
Just like the name stats, it talks about the activities on your steemit profile, as related to incoming votes, recent activity on your feed, division of steem dollar and steem power from a post payout before it due time, and so much more. Personally, the best part I like about this page, it is ability to divide a post payout into steem dollar and steem power saving you the time to calculate your expected payout. Although, there might be mistake with the calculation as nothing is perfect.
Also, it shows you your current rep and your voting power
How it works:
Upon accessing the page, there is box just at the left-hand side of your pc or phone
Type in the required username and search for it
A new page would load up bringing on the required information.
When used on Android device, do well to change your view to landscape by turning ON autorotation to fully utilize the web view.
2 Steemnow
To start with, how to use?
Steemnow.com/@username so change the username to the required one
What is available on this page?
It shows your rep clearly detailed to its decimal point
Your current voting weight at 100% and when adjusted also
Daily rewards
Latest upvotes, that’s the user that upvoted the searched username recently
The latest curation reward and the different link which the sp was generated from
The latest authors reward
The latest post made, be the user post, comment feed and what have you.
How to use
steem.supply/@username
It talks about your total potential reward
Be it on comments or post, with the different rewards attach to them
A chart is shown as it clearly describing the sbd and steem and the rate you received them 6 days back.
At the top is your total account worth, potential reward, potential growth etc…
The main feature and why I use this site, is to check my pending payout for the next 7 days.
How to use
http://steemistry.com/steemit-mentions-tool/?mention=@username, replace the username with the required name.
You ever be curious about wanting to know who recently called you out?

From the above, you can see your followers, following and muted if the user was muted and who muted him/her.
6 Whales
Who is a whale?
When I first joined steemit, my idea was that the higher a user rep, the better reward one receives when uploaded by those users, but that wasn’t in any form right.
In different financial organization, the word whale is used, and it simply means the party with the highest investment in that organization. On steemit, it means user with lot of steempower and they can even be 30rep, 50rep and what have you.
Example of a whale is @thejohafiles, looking at his/her blog lol no intro post yet so we cant assume, the current rep is 51, with a steempower of 1mil+ and that’s a whale, whereas me with 57rep and 200sp+ not a whale.
The above link, shows you the current whales we have on this platform as well as their activities here, be it posting curating and what have you.
The Above I believe are some of the most important and am sure they will be able to guide you, and make your journey here on steemit really fun and helpful.
Till some other time steem-on
This is cool for the steemstats app
But when i checked up, my upvotes where far too big, does it means its subject to change?
This would truly answer the numeous questions frequently asked by newbies on this platform.

Among the point you talk about, Is the 6th one(whale) I know about before. It get to a point, it confuse me, that is it possible to have 48rep without posting any post, layer someone explain that to me.
