Mauser C96 submachine gun was used during the Second World War in the German army :
- Most often Mauser C96 was used in the Waffen-SS. In the first phase of the war, the Waffen-SS was outside the supply system than the WEhrmacht and often used the Wehrmacht's "despised" weapon. Mausery C96 was produced in Germany until October 1939 (civil and export production) and some part of it went to the Waffen-SS and was used in the Second World War. The next model that was used in these units was Mauser 712

C96 Mauser in the German army during the First World War :
- Many of these weapons were produced ... about a million pieces - although the vast majority "spread around the world", but in Germany there were also a lot of them - first of all "red nine", which was delivered until the end of the First World War about 136 thousand .
