I tried Scotch for the first time not too long ago and I was really surprised by the "peatyness" of it. It was something quite unlike anything I have ever had before. I don't think it was anything super fancy, but it was still very interesting. I'd actually never heard this argument before. Being raised pretty conservatively, I know that there is fear of lowering your inhibitions and anything in excess can be a vice for you, but I had never heard of the whole "new age" thing. Very interesting.
