A Lichen a Day -- 22 December

Today's shot shows some lichen variations I haven't seen before. Once again I am wondering if this relates to spore creation.

a unique hand-like lichen with darker "blooms" on the finger tips amidst moss and mixed lichens

I know the depth of field is a bit too shallow or the focus a bit off, but I am sharing this anyway since I am so intrigued by its "blooms."

If anyone knows anything about this growth variation, I'd love to hear it.
