Curious if you have recommendations on where to start if you have very little money or income. I'd like to dig my way out of my situation this year, just not sure what the fastest, smartest way to do that is.

If you don't mind taking risks, investing into crypto (especially XRP right now, up until their lawsuit ends) is by far the easiest and fastest way. A similarly good method is looking up in-demand NFTs and flipping them for a quick profit, ofc this needs some starting capital as well as a bit of luck and expertise. Otherwise if you're looking to work online from home, you'll have to either learn a skill like copy-writing, SEO optimization, web designing, graphic designing, etc. and do freelancing jobs on sites like Fiverr. Then there's also Amazon Mechanical Turk where you can do some micro-tasks if they deem you "worthy". And ofc. you can always start building a following on social media and an email list which you can then use for affiliate marketing.
