Today, I've got two interviews! In my quest to find a stable job, I've landed two interviews today at a restaurant and a department store.
I've worked in the food industry before when I was younger—two years and a month at a fast food joint and did some temporary jobs at restaurants. I don't think this new restaurant will be that complex considering their options are minimal. I suppose it depends on whether I can pass the background check for the job. It seems their standards have increased at some restaurants—No, I don't have felonies. lol
The department store will have some simple work at the warehouse section where we will receive and unload inventory. In my experience in construction, it was a regular thing for me to check inventory and communicate with truckers. I've always enjoyed having a conversation with some of them. It will be something I'm used to but doing it daily (or nightly) will be interesting.
I have experience in both areas that I've applied—minimal. So, I'm hopeful one of them may hire me. If not, I'll have to keep on searching. The job market is still pretty saturated with the school season about to begin.
Good luck man! I was able to pick up an extra day at the car auction that I start next week, so that helps out.
I spent about 15 years of my career in the restaurant industry, both FOH and BOH, as well as management before that ended and I worked for Apple for close to 10 years.
Anyway, hope you have a successful day!
I appreciate it! I'm looking forward to the interview.
Best of luck at the auction! Stay positive!
