Thank you for the excellent advice. These are my first progressive lenses, my "40 something" eyes have gotten there and I'm getting used to the blurry bottoms. But it's great being able to read again!
I remember feeling something like this years ago when I got my previous prescription - actually the last pair was so uncomfortable for my brain/eyes, they had to remake them. I sort of got used to them after a while. I wonder if wearing messed up lenses for years has messed up my brain somewhat! These new glasses are much better than those, but I am feeling some eye strain. Nothing a little ibuprophen can't help.
I'm planning on bringing my old pair and my new to the test - hopefully they'll allow me to bring both into the testing area, I hear they are extremely strict.
Sometimes, progressives do take a bit of getting used to. Perseverance is the best advice, but don't hesitate if after 3-4 weeks to seek a recheck if necessary. I've worn them for over 20 years (I started young, lol) and generally have never had any adaptability issues, but it can happen.
Take care and good luck on your test!
