What is everyone's favorite Altcoin for 2018?

I’m incredibly excited to see the Cosmos project launch with their token “ATOM”.

In the blockchain platforms market, there are a lot of competing products. You have smart contract platforms like Ethereum, NEO and Cardano that have one philosophy of building Dapps. Then you have NEM and Waves which has a competing philosophy.

Cosmos, run by the team behind Tendermint, is another such blockchain philosophy. It’s token sale was launched all the way back in April, and at the time, was one of the most successful ICO’s, raising $16 million in about 30 minutes (remember, this is before the ICO hype train came to town).

I believe having a strong project like Cosmos acts as a hedge to the blockchain industry, and that having a competing philosophies, you give the development community plenty of options. The team has been quietly at work for 8 months now, so it’s exciting to seem them launch early next year.
