Bitcoin, Ether, Ripple, NEM, ETC, Litecoin, and Dash are pretty flat today but there were some major moves by a lot of other altcoins today.
A few of the more prominent movers include:
XtraBYtes 75.43%
Qtum 64.70%
SuperNET 62.71%
Stratis 61.67%
Komodo 55.54%
Verge 51.81%
Bytecoin50.64%
BitcoinDark 49.59%
DigiByte 48.98%

There are quite a few other 30%+ gainers in the CoinMarketCap.com top 100. It's hard to say what is precipitating these big moves but there is no doubt people are looking for the huge 100%+ gains in short time frames that may not be likely with the top market cap coins anymore.
How do you see the future of Ripple?
Good post, have a follow.
I think in general the top currencies will be increasing in relative proportion to the size of the overall market cap. As more money comes into the crypto space, a big proportion will go to the top currencies. Particularly if and when investment funds come into play, the major crypto-currencies will be seen as the safest and the money will go there first.
Ripple has a strong use case to simplify, speed, and reduce the cost of payments between banks and it already has strong corporate adoption so it's here to stay. I can't say one way or the other if it passes Ether or Bitcoin in marketcap.
Picking individual winners and losers is still difficult and, as somebody new to the space, the reasons behind some of the large moves in individual currencies are not always clear.
Overall, in my opinion, this is a rising tides lifts all boats markets. Money in Crypto should grow as the overall market size grows.
Good post. Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. No matter how populair a coin is. People should always do a proper background check. It surprises me how many coins are out there that don't have their basics right. An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com The best crypto analysis site by far. Complete in depth investment analysis.
